Former Trump adviser takes prominent role in voting battle National Rifle Association Americans Brad Raffensperger Scott Pruitt Oklahoma


A GOP lawyer who suggested former President Donald Trump on his marketing campaign to overturn the 2020 election outcomes is now enjoying a central function coordinating the Republican effort to tighten voting legal guidelines across the nation.

Cleta Mitchell, a longtime Republican lawyer and advocate for conservative causes, was among the many Trump advisers on a January cellphone name through which Trump requested Georgia election officers to “discover” sufficient votes to declare him, and never Democrat Joe Biden the winner of the battleground state.
