Indiana names Mike Woodson as HC

New York Knicks assistant coach Mike Woodson is headed again to his house state of Indiana. 

On Sunday, the Indiana Hoosiers introduced that they’ve named Woodson their subsequent head coach:

Woodson will substitute Archie Miller, who was fired by Indiana in March. The 63-year-old has by no means been a university head coach. He was head coach of the Knicks from 2012-14 and the Atlanta Hawks from 2004-10. 

The Hoosiers had been linked to a number of candidates this offseason, together with Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens, who repeatedly denied he had any curiosity within the job.

Woodson performed faculty basketball at Indiana underneath legendary coach Bob Knight. He was the Hoosiers’ main scorer throughout his junior season in 1978-79 and completed his collegiate profession with 2,062 factors.

The Hoosiers had a down 2020-21 season, ending tenth within the Massive Ten with a 12-15 report. They will be hoping Woodson may also help flip issues round.
