Residents have been being evacuated Friday evening after a six-alarm hearth erupted in a chemical plant near downtown Passaic, New Jersey.
The hearth was spreading to a number of buildings on the Qualco chemical plant, and the whole construction was anticipated to be destroyed, Passaic Mayor Hector Lora informed NewJersey.com. The hearth was additionally spreading to close by Majestic Industries.
