A teenage worker at a Wendy’s in Phoenix was hospitalized in essential situation this week after being shot within the head on the fast-food restaurant, officers mentioned.

Brian Durham Jr., 16, was rushed to a hospital Thursday after a dispute by which he was reportedly not concerned escalated into gunfire, FOX 10 of Phoenix reported.

“The client reportedly walked as much as the drive-thru window, pulled out a handgun and fired into the drive-thru window hitting the sufferer working inside the shop,” mentioned Sgt. Vincent Cole of the Phoenix Police Division.

The assailant fled the crime scene however was later arrested, Cole mentioned. He was later recognized as Theotis Polk, 27, based on the station.

Durham Jr.’s father, Brian Durham Sr., mentioned the incident began when the client complained the restaurant didn’t have barbecue sauce, FOX 10 reported.

“My son simply stayed quiet and had the man’s change in his hand,” Durham Sr. advised the information outlet. “[He] simply stayed quiet whereas the opposite two was in confrontation.”

The daddy was notified of the capturing when his son was rushed to the hospital.

The bullet that struck Durham Jr. solely grazed his head and didn’t hit his mind, Durham Sr. advised FOX 10.

“Do you consider in miracles?” he mentioned. “Yeah, this was a miracle in the present day, ‘trigger my son ain’t purported to be standing. If he would have switched two seconds to the left, possibly one, he would have been gone.”
